Summary: Nicholas Sparks turns his unrivaled talents to a tale about love found and lost, and the choices we hope we'll never have to make.
Travis Parker has everything a man could want: a good job, loyal friends, even a waterfront home in small-town North Carolina. In full pursuit of the good life - boating, swimming , and regular barbecues with his good-natured buddies -- he holds the vague conviction that a serious relationship with a woman would only cramp his style. That is, until Gabby Holland moves in next door.
Spanning the eventful years of young love, marriage and family, THE CHOICE ultimately confronts us with the most heart-wrenching question of all: how far would you go to keep the hope of love alive?

Review: Like any Nicholas Sparks book you have to give it at least
30 pages before you make the choice to continue to read or to stop reading.
Sparks is very detailed in his writing especially in the very beginning. He
paints the picture for you to see, so that when you read this book it’s like
you are with the characters. I really liked how this book makes you believe in
fate and true love. How it seems two very different people could ever make
something work. But it leaves you guessing through most of the book what way
she is going to turn. To the neighbor? Stay with the boyfriend? Who wins at the
end? Once she makes that choice, the last couple chapters leave you with a
thought that maybe Karma had some hand in events that end the book. Sparks does
it again, with his romance novels that capture your attention and make it an
unstoppable read. If you really care for the romance novels, I highly recommend
this book.
