Summary (as quoted from Amazon): Great books, bloggers, and recipes meet in this second volume of a fresh and unique cookbook that helps you experience books, not just read them. This year's volume features even more tasty reads, recipes and book bloggers.
Books were selected from the author’s book review blog and paired with delectable recipes like “Caramel Crack” from Shatter Me, by Tahereh Mafi, "Everliving Soup" from Brodi Ashton's Everneath, and "Jagged Ham" from Elana Johnson's Possession.
Mouthwatering photos complement every recipe.
The 2012 Book Blogger’s Cookbook includes a foreword by David Farland, award winning, New York Times Bestselling author, and showcases more than one hundred reviews with links to book review blogs and author websites.

My thoughts:
The 2012 Book Bloggers Cookbook was awesome! I enjoyed reading about all of the different books and recipes, as well as the many different quotes from various reviews.

For those of you who don’t know what The Book Bloggers Cookbook is, basically it’s a book that showcases different novels, ranging from Middle Grade, to YA, to Adult, and then showcases different meals that somehow relate to the books. Every segment includes a photo of the cover, a summary, a short but efficient explanation on how the dish we are about to see is related to the book, and then the recipe. After that, there is another section which has quotes from many different blogs offering praise for the spotlighted book.

I have to say that by the time I reached the end, I wanted to read every single novel that had been included, and to try and make every single recipe. Not only did the recipes sound really good, but the instructions on how to make them were simple and easy to follow. My personal favorites that I can’t wait to try and make are called The Deceptively Devilish Pops, (inspired by Cassandra Clare’s Clockwork Angel), Wind-whirled Ice Cream Cake (inspired by Leigh Fallon’s The Carrier of the Mark), and Chocolate Violet Creams (inspired by Sarah M.. Eden’s Courting Miss Lancaster). The only complaint I have in terms of the food sections is the pictures. Sometimes the images of the food looked a little unappetizing to me. Even though every dish sounded amazing, some of the pictures of the dishes did not, for me, always heighten my interest in making them.

The quotes used from the Bloggers were all very well written and professional, while still being fun and quirky. After reading the summary and then seeing all of those positive thoughts, you will definitely be tempted to add another two dozen or so books to your TBR piles! Combing food with books is an awesome idea, and it’ll be hard to resist going out and getting all of those ingredients and books as soon as you finish reading this compilation of food and literature.

With easy instructions, brilliant formatting, and an easy way of writing, Christy Dorrity has created a wonderful cookbook ; If you love cooking food and discovering new books, you are sure to enjoy The 2012 Book Bloggers Cook Book.
