My thoughts:
Linger is a fantastic sequel, and was even better than Shiver. In this book, we get to see four different viewpoints from Grace, Sam, Isabel, and Cole. This was very interesting, as we saw three of the characters in the previous book, one as a supporting character and two as the books main characters. But Cole, he is a completely new character. From the moment he entered the story, I had a feeling that he was going to make the plot a whole lot more interesting. He didn't disappoint. His inner struggle and pure want to be anything but human was new and refreshing. The chemistry between him and Isabel was stunning. Isabel herself grew quite a bit in this book, and her strength and resilience was very admirable. Grace turned into the headstrong girl we only saw glimpses of in Shiver, and I loved how she fought for her love for Sam, and never second-guessed her decisions. And Sam- Oh, Sam's feelings throughout the book put me in a variation of emotions ranging from crying at the unfairness of Grace's parents behavior, laughing at his sarcastic lines, and then sighing at the romantic scenes. Linger is an all-around amazing read, and I definitely recommend picking it up today.
